Summer is coming: surfing, respect, and sunscreen
Temperatures are rising, wetsuits are getting shorter, days are getting longer... there's no doubt about it, summer is just around the corner ! At Wyve, we're just like you: we're counting down the days until the first boardshort sessions and warm-water sunsets. But with the crowds returning to the spots, a little reminder doesn't hurt so everyone can enjoy the ocean with respect and good humor .
Water courtesy: one surf, many surfers, one passion
Summer also means the return of beginners, vacationers, veterans who take their boards out of the garage... In short, a lot of people at the peak . It's an opportunity to remember that a smile, a hello upon arrival, an exchange of glances before heading out on a wave, changes everything.
The rules of priority: we share, we don't impose ourselves
We can't say it enough: priority goes to the one who is furthest inside the wave . No drops, no snakes. If you have any doubts, leave the wave, there will be others. And if someone makes a mistake, it's better to favor dialogue: we're here to have fun, not to get angry.
Sunscreen: Think about your skin (and the ocean)
The sun is strong, even when it's overcast. So before each session, a little sunscreen (eco-friendly preferably) is a simple step to avoid sunburn and unpleasant surprises in the long run . And if you really want to combine style and protection, lycra remains your best ally for long summer sessions.
